ABOUT ME
Qualifications:
- Graduated with a degree in Animal Management and Welfare from Harper Adams University
- Qualified Dog Trainer through The Puppy School UK
I am a passionate Dog Trainer who focuses on Positive Reinforcement Training. This means giving your dog a reward such as a treat, praise, or a game with toys, so they perform the desired behaviour in a way that you like, therefore being more likely to repeat this behaviour in the future.
Studies have shown this positive reinforcement is not only good for the wellbeing of your dog but also helps form a stronger bond between owner and dog. A bond based on a positive relationship between dog and owner leads to your dog being calm and comfortable, reducing overall levels of stress and anxiety which can cause negative behaviours.

Dogs are dynamic learners, each with their own unique temperament and traits which impact the way they learn. I believe that the best way to effectively teach is by spending time getting to know and understand the unique characteristics of your furry baby and applying the training techniques which best suit their needs. This is important because there is no ‘one’ way in which dogs learn, so taking the time to find out what works best will help your pups to learn at their pace with minimal frustration. I will work with you to achieve realistic goals based on these principles, with the core objective of driving consistent and achievable outcomes.
Good decision-making = nice reward vs Bad decision-making = ignored.
A bit about my past:

My passion for dogs originally led me to start my own dog walking business in South West London, where I realised I wanted to develop my work with animals further and become a qualified trainer. I enjoyed taking the time to train the dogs I was walking, even if it was just for a bit of fun; I found the way dogs learn fascinating and soon realised that the different character traits can impact how they learn. One thing they all have in common though is intelligence. I believe that all dogs are capable of learning with time, care and effective training, something I want to share with you.
Over the years I have volunteered at Animal Farm Parks, Veterinary Centres, Assistance Dog Organisations and Rescue Centres. I have worked alongside rescue animals at rescue centres looking after them whilst they are waiting for their forever home, I have also managed a dog daycare and grooming business.
